In early 2024, I Civils achieved registered contractor status from IKO for the installation of their Pacopatch Ironwork Reinstatement system.

But what is Pacopatch & how can it benefit you?

The IKO Pacopatch ironworks reinstatement system is a long-lasting mastic asphalt system designed to reinstate failing road surfaces, especially around manholes, drainage gullies and other public utilities and ironworks. It can also be used for general patch repairs in roads.

It is a two-part system, consisting of hot applied IKO Pacopatch Grout and cold applied, ready-made IKO Pacopatch Bricks.

There are many key benefits to using this system. These are:

  • No costly second visit to site – IKO Pacopatch gives a long-term road reinstatement installation every time.
  • No Void System – an impermeable and monolithic mastic asphalt reinstatement solution.
  • No additional & costly equipment required – the system doesn’t require a roller or plate compactor meaning no more damage to ironwork seating.
  • No extended road closures – quick and easy to lay for a faster installation.
  • 5-year material guarantee
  • Smoother transition from ironwork to flexible pavements for improved structural continuity.
  • Complies with the requirements of RSTA code of practice for ‘Ironwork systems installation and refurbishment’.
  • Complies with DfT SROH 4th Edition: ‘Specification for reinstatement of openings in highways’

Achieving registered contractor status for this product only adds to the portfolio of our long-standing surfacing teams credentials. If you have any surfacing requirements including ironwork reinstatement, then please don’t hesitate to contact us –
